The MPVA held a commemorative ceremony for the 48th Anniversary of the April 19th Revolution for Korea Democratization at the zone of the April 19th Revolution of the National Cemetery at 10:00 AM of April 19th (Sat) with the aim of remembering the spirit of the students who had bravely risen up against the corrupted military dictatorship to defend freedom and democracy in Korea.

At the ceremony joined nearly 2,000 people including Prime Minister Han Seung-soo, government officials, the members of the April 19th Revolution organizations, citizens, and students. The ceremony began with wreath-laying, and President Park Yoon-seok of the April 19th Revolution Association reported procession of the revolution to the participants of the ceremony

As part of the commemoration events, a memorial ceremony for the victims of the revolution took place at the National Cemetery, and on the 19th the Seoul Kangbuk Cultural Center held the 11th "Soguigol Concert" at the Torchlight Plaza of the cemetery.
Before that, a special event for the April 19th Revolution was held on April 18th at the Sejong Center hosted by the April 19th Revolution Associations, where a presidential commemorative message was delivered.

Various events and activities were and will be carried out across the country to commemorate the April 19th Democratization Revolution such as photo exhibition and marathon race.
